If you were to build Your Own guitar and use only vintage parts is it still considered vintage?
I was planning to make a 62′ Fender Jaguar and was wondering that if i used all vintage parts like pickups,pickguards,and knobs would it still be considered a Vintage Guitar?
No
and since it wasn’t built by Fender, it would be a “frankenstein” guitar
Individual parts will cost you more than what you could buy a real guitar for
It’s not the knobs and pickguard that make the guitar vintage, it’s the body and neck, and they are EXPENSIVE as parts.
